Creating Your Custom Face Oil

Creating Your Custom Face Oil

Before creating your custom face oil, you’ll want to determine your skin type “right now.” This can change based on the weather, everyday stresses, hormones—life. Take a moment to check in with yourself and establish what’s going on in your life that could be showing up on your face. All the facets of your dynamic life will influence your custom face oil formula.

Take a moment to check in with yourself and establish what’s going on in your life that could be showing up on your face. Step 1: Choose your Base Oil

We recommend choosing 1 base oil. You’ll choose your base oil depending on how much moisture/hydration your skin needs right now. It will make up the largest portion of your formula (add 13 full droppers to a 15 ml bottle).

Step 2: Choose your Complex Oil

We recommend choosing 1-3 complex oils. You’ll choose your complex oil(s) based on your skin goal right now and they will make up the second largest portion of your formula. Complex oils have more targeted, concentrated benefits than base oils.

Sea Buckthorn Oil
A slightly astringent complex oil that’s great for oily skin. Use if: you’re experiencing more blemishes than usual.

Use if: hormones or stress are affecting your skin.

Raspberry Seed Oil
A protecting complex oil that's great for normal skin.
Use if: your skin is exposed to sun or smog on a daily basis.

Blueberry Seed Oil
A soothing, conditioning complex oil that's great for dry skin.
Use if: your skin is taxed from travel/stress and you need an added glow.

Step 3: Choose your Essential Oil

We recommend choosing 1-2 essential oils. You’ll choose your essential oil(s) based on aroma, but they also have properties with added skincare benefits. They will make up the smallest portion of your formula (add 10-15 drops to a 15 ml bottle).

Geranium
A floral essential oil with a slightly minty aroma. Properties: balancing and toning.
