Our Work Abroad
Dedicated to the preservation of culture and passionate about advocating for access to health care as a basic human right. We feel especially called to work in India as many of our oils and botanicals are sourced from the country that is so rich in history and traditional use of beautiful plants and textiles. In partnership with the Nobel Peace Prize nominated charity Free The Children, Vitruvi supports community health centres in rural Northwestern India, known locally as an 'anginwadi' in the community of Kalthana.
This community cultural centre will provide a safe, and well outfitted place for children to play, receive a daily meal and be provided with early childhood education. It will also be a place for women and young girls in the community to be part of health education workshops, along with being a location for health camps to take place and for the government nurse to provide nutritional supplements, vaccinations and other medical treatment.
