Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Our Goal
We make sure our platforms, content, products, and conversations are representative of a dynamic range of lived experiences. This includes but is not limited to: Black, Indigenous, people of color (BIPOC); lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, Two-Spirit+ (LGBTQ2S+) folks; different genders, cultures, abilities, sizes, and ages; and the intersections of these identities and backgrounds.
Our Team
We have worked with an external diversity and inclusion expert to ensure our hiring process, onboarding program, and company culture create an inclusive work environment for all lived experiences. We have implemented hiring systems that directly address implicit bias, and have expanded our community outreach and hiring platforms to ensure we are reaching potential prospective employees with a range of perspectives. We see these endeavors as large areas of opportunity in the wellness industry; we are energized by the opportunity to cultivate new professional relationships and in doing so, set a new standard in community-building.
Our Content
We recognize the value in celebrating the work of a diverse group of creators—both in front of and behind the scenes. This shows up in our magazine articles; our creative campaigns; our community members; and our partnerships.
We acknowledge that we are fortunate to operate on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), xÊ·məθkÊ·É™yÌ“É™m (Musqueam),
and selÌ“ÃlÌ“witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) nations.
