Swimwear Brands with Flair

Swimwear is having a bit of a moment. And since the winter seems to finally be behind us, we are embracing spring and sun by planning our pool-day swimsuits. Here are six brands to know.

Saltwater Collective

This sustainable Toronto-based brand makes its suits using ECONYL yarn, which is made from pre- and post-consumer nylon waste. The styles are simple yet flattering, and we love that the company celebrates different body types.

Zulu & Zephyr

Australia knows swimwear. It seems every up-and-coming brand we come across hails from down under, which makes sense—the country has some of the best beaches in the world. We love the Zulu & Zephyr Signatures line: it features classic shapes in beautiful, neutral colours. The olive green is hard to resist.

Mara Hoffman

While on the pricier side, these suits are like fabric pieces of art. They are a great option if you are looking for a pop of colour, too. We also love their beach coverups—billowy pants and twist-tied tops give us serious resort vibes.

Reformation

Reformation has ruffles and ruching figured out when it comes to dresses and flirty blouses, so we love that they have brought these fun textures to swimwear. The suits have a vintage feel to them, which is nice if you are looking for something less skimpy.

Beth Richards

A queen of modern swimwear, Beth Richards designs the pieces of her eponymous Vancouver label to have flair and functionality. Pieces are contemporary, feminine, and just the right amount of sexy.

Left on Friday

A great option for more sporty activities, Left on Friday makes action-friendly swimsuits with style. These pieces are designed in Vancouver and made in California, embodying a true West Coast sensibility.

Come on, summer.
