Spruce Essential Oil 101
Words by Louise Miller

YOU NEED:
Spruce Essential Oil
Nothing can totally replace a long stroll in the woods, but Spruce Essential Oil does offer some of its benefits—without the need to leave the city. Just a few deep inhales of the coniferous oil can offer a grounding sensation, help open respiratory airways, and simultaneously energize and calm you. While Spruce does have a distinctly piney aroma, its scent is more subtle than other evergreens, and is much sweeter than most tree oils. We love it because it brings a little piece of the outdoors inside.

How we use it
- In our fridge: Spruce is a great natural deodorizer—just mix 5 drops with 1 cup of baking soda in a jar and let it do its thing.
- On our bodies: mix 6 drops of Spruce with 1 ounce of lotion and massage into your (or someone else’s!) skin.
- Around the house: add 8 drops of Spruce, 4 drops of Cedarwood, and 4 drops of Rosemary to a diffuser and feel more clear, alert, and productive.
Blends well with
Cedarwood, Grapefruit, Lavender.
