George Floyd. His name is one of many that will not be forgotten.
We have to do better; we have to listen, to learn, and to stand up. As a magazine, we are learning day by day, and are taking some necessary time to educate ourselves. Systemic racism is deeply embedded in North American society, and dismantling it is going to take hard, uncomfortable work. We have a long way to go, but we vow to be part of the change. Our company has made immediate donations to the Minnesota Freedom Fund, North Star Health Collective, the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, The Loveland Foundation, and Black Women Connect Vancouver.
For anyone looking to get involved and to learn, here are some resources that our team has found helpful so far and will continue to reflect on and refer back to.
