Simple Jewellery Cleaner

Overall, jewellery is a pretty low-effort, high-reward accessory. You either put it on and it makes your outfit (BAM!), or it’s something more subtle you basically never take off. While it’s probably the most low-maintenance part of your routine, it does require a little love in the form of a good clean every once in a while.

The actual cleaning can be super simple—all you need are a few household items and our trusty friend: organic Tea Tree Essential Oil. Tea Tree has natural antibacterial and disinfectant properties, which make it a great addition to this homemade cleaner. It’s also a way to use that free toothbrush from your last dentist visit.

    SIMPLE JEWELLERY CLEANER

    1/2 cup white vinegar

2 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil

    1 toothbrush

    1 teaspoon baking soda

    How to use it

    1. Mix together the vinegar and Tea Tree in a bowl.
    2. Soak your jewellery (you should avoid using pieces that are made of aluminum; stick to silver and gold for this) in the solution for an hour.
    3. Remove your bling and scrub clean with a toothbrush and baking soda.
    4. Rinse off.
    5. See how your pieces shine!
